Hey Guys,
We have a new place to list our trades located at the top of the page under "TRADE POST" which will make it easier for us to find those hunts we're looking for. There's a place for all types of trades, so please list what your looking for or what you have to offer.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day

If a landowner allows you to hunt on his land, do all you can to keep that relationship intact. Don't abuse the privilege. Don't invite other unwanted guests. Do pick up trash you find. Do share the bounty with him. Do send a Christmas card and occasionally give a small gift. Express appreciation and keep the welcome mat out.

There will always be people in this world that pay high dollars to harvest a trophy animal and claim that they spent all year hunting for that one animal and their not lying they spent all year saving and they do have to live with that lie But I know If I kill a trophy animal it was because of plain dumb luck or all the sweat and time I put in and I will know it and I will have to live with that!!!!

well I have done some reading here and I agree with all one way or another I agree there is people that get there animals the wrong way and they will be punished at some point in time they will get caught somewhere and hope the get thrown under the jail . But here is my thing if I kill a trophy deer legally mind you and someone cabelas bass pro etc comes to my door and tells me we will make you how ever many replica in case something happens to it and so much money you can bet I will take it and here is why if you kill a trophy animal you have it hanging in your house and someone comes in steals it or something would happen to your house flood ,fire, tornado etc and you loose everything or just the wall your animal was hanging on you are out that but If you loose that wall and you and your family are fine and healthy the only thing your going to think about is fixing that wall and well putting a pic up of the animal you did have because you cannot replace it so if its hanging up somewhere you can have another replica made you fix the wall and hang another and you still have your
trophy animal you killed that just my thoughts

If you shot it why would you want to sell it or why would you want to buy one you didn't shoot.

I was mainly talking about even the guys that DIY hunt if they do kill a trophy and Cabelas offers them 25-30-50,000 dollars to buy it I dont think that is right there should be a law against the buying and selling of any trophy game animal.

I could not agree more!!! I hate to hear form those guys that talk about that big tropehy hanging on the wall that they paid $3,000.00 to kill!

I think one of the biggest things that have really tarnished the hunting community is the sale of illegally taken animals, Now I know there will always be a black market for this sort of stuff but I think that it would really hurt poachers if there was a law in place making it illegal to buy or sell any trophy game animal. This would really hurt the Cabelas' and Bass Pro shops but I think that if you want your trophy to hang in one of their stores you should be willing to do it for free or way less than their paying now. Just my $.02
