When we think of the great state of Minnesota a few thoughts might come to mind - snow, about 10,000 lakes, Al Lindner and the Vikings to name a few. What will likely never cross your mind - a world record bull elk!

More on that 400 lb. buck I recently posted. Turns out the photo is real, but the deer actually came from a deer farm in central Wisconsin. Here's a link to that farm:

Being from Wisconsin, I can say that this is a shame and a disappointment. To brag about a fenced-in kill is simply an injustice dealt to the real hunters of this great state and quite frankly all hunters that take part in ALL-natural, fair-chase hunts.

Thats cool man, I just hadnt heard much more about it since I got texted the pic so I thought it may have been either a hoax if a high fence buck. Thats neat to know about the score. if you want check out a guy named Lemuel Brown. He killed a 200 incher in Jefferson/Harrison county Ohio this year

From now on, I'll make sure I validate and post where any deer were shot. I think it's just nice to know a bit about where they grow 'em big.

Okay, here's what I have about the muzzleloader buck shown below:

Killed in Highland County, Ohio Dec. 9, 2009 by a man named Brian Stephans. It hasn't been officially scored yet but they expect it to be a possible state record at around 235 B&C. I can forward the e-mail to you on it if you'd like.
