the guy lives in temple, he has gone as far as lubbuck to pick up hogs.I think he'll take them just gutted. as long as its not to long after the harvest. I'll check with him and see if i can get you his number

I have heard/read the same thing. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. We have eaten many of them in the past. I do not think it will deter me in consumption of pork. Is that bacon I smell?

find a charity or someone around you and donate the meat then. don't just waste it. plenty of hungery people out there that will take it. not sure what area your in, but check local food banks or processors to donate it

its all about game care, its starts in the field, i wash the hog off real good before field dressing, make sure whats on the outside doesn't get on the inside, get it on ice and called as fast as possible, haven't had a problem yet …

Me personally I would not wast time trying to process a wild hog. if there is a risk of my family getting sick them its not worth the risk in my opinion.

Ferral hoggs central texas

Hello I seen an add in Texas Parks and wildlife on ferral hoggs,with a alert to 2 different diseases they are carrying,they advise to be very causious when handling,dressing and prossesing of the meat,meat should be cooked very WELL,they have tested a few counties in cenrtral texas with positive results.Thanks
