Went out to the ranch last night and was again outsmarted by the hogs. Game camera showed them arriving around 8:45 PM at the 'Hog Hole" and making their way to the "Pig Pit" at midnight, so I sat on the Hog Hole in thehopes of an early evening hog drop. Nothing... waited until 11:30 and called it a night.Got up at 5:30AM and again sat in the blind at the Hog Hole. Finally moved out at 7:30 AM and pulled the chips on both game cameras. Been a While.....

House projects have kept me busy and the heat and rains from Hurricane Alex haven't helped matters.After a quick run to the ranch last night, I was pleasantly surprised to see lots of greenery and quite a few deer for it being 5 in the evening. Busy, Busy, Busy

Still haven't had the chance to get out to the ranch as I'd like, maybe this weekend to at least check the "Hog Logs" (my own invention) and see what kind of activity they have had. I'm sure they're empty as it's been 3 weeks as of this weekend.I also need to start scouting around for the turkeys. Not much longer until Spring season opens here in Texas and I absolutely love Spring turkey hunting!!!!! The wife will be along with me this season. Projects...

Didn't get out last weekend...had to do some plant removal aorund the house.Strange how some native Texas plants didn't tolerate the freeze we had in the area at the beginning of January.Lantana, Esparanza, and Fire bush all froze out. Pulled them out from front of house to make way for new plants that will go in this Spring.In other outdoor news, the backyard has officially become a registered nature conservancy sight!This is great news to me as both a hunter and conservationist, becuase I…See More

Bumpgate Build

How did you hear about us? Who referred you?: Heard about the site from Hank Sherrill

What do you hope to achieve by joining HunTTrader?: Avid outdoorsman looking to hunt other areas of Texas. I am particularly interested in hunting Feral Hog, Turkey and Non-native species of game. Family owned 2,600 acres available to hunt. Currently working to obtain a patent for my own invention...the "Hog Log"

Went out to the ranch last night and was again outsmarted by the hogs. Been a While.....
