I have the monkey tails, but I didn't have the opportunity to shoot with them off yet. I bought my 2009 BowTech Admiral with the monkey tails already on it. The pro shop tech spoke highly of them and I just took his word for it. My last bow was 10 years old and needless to say I think it would take more than monkey tails to quiet that relic. I know this isn't much help, but I can say that I've never shot such a quiet bow as my new Bowtech.
